3rd International Seminar in Bulgaria, organized by Interlegal, united Black Sea region

Following the idea to bring together the shipping and trade industry players of Black Sea region to discuss today’s problems common for business in in the Black Sea, the 3rd annual free international seminar SHIPPING AND TRADE: INSIGHTS FROM THE BLACK SEA REGION was held in Varna, Bulgaria, on November 15.

The seminar has been organized by Interlegal with a support of Bulgarian Association of Shipbrokers & Agents (BASBA) and Bulgarian branch of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. This year the seminar was held in Varna Swiss-Bellhotel conference hall, and gathered a record attendance of 80 participants.

Speakers, the reputable experts from the Black sea region, delivered presentations focused on the issues of grain shipments from Black Sea to Middle East and Mediterranean region, passage of the Bosporus strait, ship arrests and shortage in Turkey, new trends 2016 in ship arrest in Bulgaria and Romania. Further, the participants were offered a case study related to maritime and commodity arbitration: LMAA, GAFTA, FOSFA.

The Seminar presented a great platform for informative exchanges among the experts of the industry on topical issue. A light friendly reception prolonged discussions, giving a possibility of professional networking and communication.
