Continental and Common Law in the International Arbitration: Synergy and Discrepancies

On December 7-8, 2017, Interlegal senior lawyer Andrey Perepelitsa participated in the International Conference “Continental and Common Law in the International Arbitration: Synergy and Discrepancies” organized by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a non-governmental organization having 16,000 members worldwide. This event held in Paris gathered over 210 delegates from 15 countries.

 

Within two days of scientific and practical conference, over 50 speakers presented their reports about today international arbitration trends, concepts and standards, impact and penetration of various law systems into international arbitration, national legislation role in arbitration institute development, differences in continental and common law approaches and today global challenges in the international arbitration.
