For three years Interlegal has been a partner and active participant of the annual UBA Southern Ukrainian Legal Forum held traditionally in Odessa.
On September 8, 2017, leading lawyers from Kiev, Odessa and other Southern regions of Ukraine gathered at the Londonskaya Hotel to discuss the latest trends in law practice. The discussion touched novelties in procedural legislation, the most vital issues of business protection and development. Special attention was drawn to practical aspects in maritime law.
Interlegal senior lawyer Kirina Riashentseva touched one of the most interesting themes in her report “Yacht purchase, registration and operation abroad: today rules and trend” which highlighted yachting issues exclusive for the Ukrainian law practice, in particular, peculiarities of concluding and performing contracts with foreign yacht manufacturers, advantages of yacht registration under convenient flags, tax effects, customs declaration rules and many others.
In the end, partners of the Odessa leading law firms held a panel discussion concerning law business peculiarities in the Southern Ukraine, with Interlegal partner Nikolay Melnykov engaged. The issue of training young experts for law business awoke particular interest.
