Interlegal participated in 11th Shiparrested Conference

The 11th Shiparrested Conference was held in Hamburg on 12-14th June 2014. Partners of Interlegal – Arthur Nitsevych, Nikolay Melnykov, Nataliya Myroshnychenko participated in the conference. The conference interconnects worldwide members and industry guests bringing together more than 100 participants from four globe corners. The conference combines lectures, panel debates on core topic for the ship arrest industry and sessions on arrest procedures in different jurisdictions. Interlegal has been a member of the Shiparrested network for many years and it turned to be again an opportunity to meet friends, colleagues and partners with whom we have been doing business for more than 10 years. The conference started with the speech of Dr. Andrea Lista from Southampton Institute of Maritime Law about incorporation of Arbitration Clauses in Bills of Lading. One of the most interesting events was – international panel discussion: “Strangest arrests of the past year”. Arthur Nitsevych while taking part in discussion gave an overview of ship arrest practice of Interlegal in Black Sea region. Summing up his speech Arthur Nitsevych gave a couple of examples of strange arrests in Ukraine and Georgia. In the evening informal dinner in cozy Hafen-Klub expanded networking opportunities for all members.
