Interlegal – legal partner of the XVI conference Fat-and-Oil Industry 2017

Interlegal became a legal partner of the XVI conference “Fat-and-Oil Industry 2017” held in Kiev on October 26, 2017, organized by APK-Inform Agency.

Interlegal experts participated actively in forming the conference content. Interlegal senior lawyer Andrey Perepelitsa presented the report “When you are wrong in a trade dispute: how to save commodity/money and/or business relations?” at the first session devoted to prospects of the Black Sea market of oilseeds and vegetable oils. Andrey Perepelitsa touched practical issues of settling conflicts arising in the process of foreign trade contract performance.

Alongside with principal sessions, Interlegal partners Irina Voyevodina and Artem Skorobogatov held two special workshops.

At the workshop “Non-resident companies in the global trade” Irina Voyevodina shared peculiarities of non-resident companies, highlighted principal changes and trends in cooperation with non-residents and banks.

At the workshop “Practice of cargo arrest by law enforcement bodies at the Ukrainian ports. What to do?” Artem Skorobogatov touched the hot issues: terminal cargo seizure risk mitigation, damages caused by shipment blocking, facts of agricultural cargo seizure as blackmail mechanism applied by law enforcement bodies against traders.

The workshop touched motives of merchants in uniform, their scenarios, grey lists, omens of the upcoming problem under a certain contract and recommendations upon actions of fair buyer engaged in combatting one of the seller’s suppliers in order to prevent cargo loss, to preserve contract and to mitigate losses as much as possible.

It turned out to be a low-key and frank workshop.
