Interlegal Partners Arthur Nitsevych and Nikolay Melnykov, Ukraine, and Mehmet Dogu, Turkey, participated in Georgia International Maritime Forum 2016 on 12-14 September, Batumi, Georgia.
GIMF 2016 was the 1st international maritime forum under the patronage of Prime Minister of Georgia H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili. More than 300 participants form all over the world attended Forum this year.
The whole event offered both: possibility for communication between the regulator and the industry, and opened a dialog between shipping professionals and environmentalists. The forum can be remembered as informative, suggestive and proactive.
The forum has brought some serious results for Ukraine. A very important document was signed regarding connection of Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan on the Great Silk road. This initiative is promising great prospects for all countries.
Summing up the results of the 1st the Georgia Maritime International Forum 2016 on 13th September participants adopted the Batumi Declaration.
Georgia Maritime International Forum will be held once in two years.
