Interlegal charged from the debtor bunker indebtedness and penal sanctions

The client, large bunkering company, filed a request to Interlegal on debt recovery for bunker supply.

 

In the framework of court proceedings initiated upon debt recovery, the application the debtor’s ship arrest in Ukraine was satisfied.

 

Following ship arrest, notification of the non-resident Defendant under the prescribed procedure and claim consideration on the merits, the Commercial court concluded on claim lawfulness and charged from the debtor bunker indebtedness and penal sanctions in full. Ship arrest guaranteed actual enforcement of the court decision at the expense of the debtor’s assets in Ukraine. Interlegal senior lawyer Alexey Remeslo and lawyer Mikhail Selivanov led the case.
