It has been nearly eighteen (18) months since the Second Circuit Court of Appeals issued its decision in The Shipping Corporation of India v. Jaldhi Overseas Pte Ltd., and turned the legal side of the international shipping community upside down. At the time thatJaldhi was decided, the Southern District of New York was a hotbed for the Rule B attachment of electronic fund transfers (“EFTs”) as they passed through intermediary and/or Clearinghouse banks located in New York City.
