Defense of the Client’s interests in the ICAC at the UCCI

As we noted before, Interlegal law team succeeded in defense of the Client’s interests in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This case concerned the dispute against unfair supplier, recognition of the award by national court and granting permit for its enforcement in Ukraine.

In view of de-occupation of Kherson City Territorial Community since November 11, 2022, the Client is entitled on reimbursement of losses incurred by invasion of the russian federation.
Interlegal lawyers applied to the private enforcement officer and initiated enforcement proceedings. The officer committed several enforcement actions but suspended proceedings due to acceptance of appeal by the Appellate Court (namely the Supreme court of Ukraine); therefore, opposing party tried to delay enforcement proceedings.
But Interlegal team has promptly submitted the statement of defense; further, the court supported our arguments and rejected satisfying the appeal, having resulted in renewal of enforcement proceedings. Now we are waiting for reimbursement of losses incurred by the Client.
