English contract law: advises for major metal trader

Interlegal specialists advised a major metal trading company and prepared a memorandum on specific aspects of English contract law. First and foremost the memorandum uncovered the responsibility of contractors for the failure to perform a contract of sale of rolled metal products at its various stages, general principles of contractual liability under English law, as well as with mechanisms of protection of the interests of supplier and compensation of losses in the event of buyer`s failure to fulfill the contract. The British Sale of Goods Act, as well as common law precedents were analyzed when preparing the memorandum.
