Bills of Lading: An open lecture by shipping guru Jeffrey Blum

June 12 14:00 - 15:30

Interlegal is pleased to invite you to an exclusive event — an open lecture with one of the most respected names in global shipping and maritime law, Jeffrey Blum. With over 50 years of hands-on experience in arbitration, chartering, trading, and maritime education, Jeffrey is not just an expert — he’s a living archive of the industry’s real-world knowledge, insights, and skills that have shaped maritime practice.

Together with Jeffrey, we’ll dive into the practical risks, legal traps, and operational nuances related to Bills of Lading, especially in the context of commodity trade and port operations.

This is not just another webinar. It’s a rare chance to hear directly from the source — no recordings, no shared materials. If you want to understand how Bill of Lading actually works—  Be there. Listen carefully. You won’t get it again.

What’s on the agenda?

 * To understand the types of bill of lading and the commercial, technical and financial obligations of owners, other carriers and charterers

* To discuss carriers’ charter or liner obligations and know who is responsible for what

* To know the relevance of Hague / Hague-Visby / Hamburg / Rotterdam Rules and the advantages and disadvantages of each

* To appreciate the role of engaged parties and their vital functions and obligations

* To ask a question directly to Jeffrey
