International Law Offices (Ukraine) sent its representative, Natalia Myroshnychenko, Senior Lawyer, to the presentation of Hoegh Autoliners Agency that was held on 18 March in Saint Petersburg.{BR}{BR} Alexey Gagarinov was appointed as the General Director of Hoegh Autoliners Agency Russia.{BR}{BR} This event gathered representatives of ship owners, terminal operators, city authorities and even some of the competitors as mentioned Carl-Johan Hagman, CEO of Hoegh Autoliners AS.
In the hall of the Summer Palace restaurant was exhibited an automobile carrier model (ro-ro type) named Hoegh St. Petersburg. Mr. Hagman promised that next time they would invite the guests when the vessel called in the Russian port. Presentation of the vessels of new generation really impressed the specialists.
The guests that visited the event were representatives of the Maritime Council of Saint Petersburg City Administration, Damco (logistics company), Remedy (law firm), forwarders and representatives of some terminals. Ukraine was represented by International Law Offices, Phoenix Logistics, Multitrans etc.
It is necessary to develop the relevant infrastructure for calling of such vessels into the Russian ports. As explained by the Secretary of the Maritime Council of Saint Petersburg City Administration Tatyana Chekalova, the requirements set up by Hoegh Autoliners are too high.
Those who were present concurred that Russian ports are not quite convenient, carriages are expensive, shifting is difficult to be performed, Novorossiysk lacks of sites.
Head of the Logistics Department of JSC KAMAZ, Mubariz Gulakhmedov, presented a model of the truck to the carrier saying they hoped that next products of the company would be carried by the new vessel. The small car was symbolically placed onto Hoegh St. Petersburg.
