Last week, the Cannes Yachting Festival – the world’s leading showcase for yachts and innovations in the boating industry – brought together the very best of the global yachting community.
Nearly 700 sailing and motor yachts lined the docks of the French Riviera, creating a unique environment for shipyards, owners, brokers and service providers to explore new opportunities and get a glimpse of the future of the global boating market. Among these, the festival welcomed 119 superyachts, including over 100 world premieres, spread across the Vieux Port and Port Canto.
Interlegal was represented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 by Senior Associate and Head of the Yachting Department Valeriia Fetysenko and Junior Lawyer Amina Khutak, who met with clients and partners, explored the latest market trends, and shared their legal expertise. They also took the time to visit some festival’s world premieres, such as the 44m Benetti Class 44M and the 36M Sanlorenzo SX120 superyachts.
“The festival shows how the industry is moving toward what modern yacht owners expect,” Valeriia noted. “Walking the decks of these amazing boats, seeing all the innovations and technologies behind them, is a good reminder why we love our work – because it gives our clients a way to turn their yachting passion into reality.
At Interlegal, we aim to cover all aspects of yacht ownership: drafting and reviewing purchase agreements, arranging yacht insurance and registration in more than 100 flag states, organizing charter business, providing tax and customs advisory services and full legal and operational support. Being at Cannes allowed us to meet people from the yachting community face-to-face and learn directly about their needs, making sure that our legal solutions are practical, effective and relevant in the industry.”
Amina Khutak added:
“Every visit to Cannes is unforgettable experience, both professionally and personally. It’s the place where new ideas, love for the sea and real business all mix together. This year, we got to see once again how fast and creative the industry is, catch up with old partners, meet clients and discuss new joint projects. The festival opened a lot of doors for interesting collaborations, and we’re really excited to be there for all visitors as they explore new possibilities in yachting.”
