The lawyers of Interlegal defended successfully cargo owner’s interests in arbitration proceeding at the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA).
Arbitration was initiated by cargo owner who suffered damages in the amount of nearly 500 thousand US dollars as the result of cargo damage during sea transportation. During the proceeding there were three cycles of exchanging documents and evidence.
Arbitration tribunal made an award which satisfied the claimant’s demands to the full extent and denied the ship owner’s counterclaim in the amount of nearly 250 thousand US dollars.
