Interlegal defends interests of bunkering companies

The Client, large bunkering company in Black Sea Region, filed a request to Interlegal on debt recovery for bunker supply.
The Debtor was an offshore shipowner acting under the principle “One vessel – one company” and having lots of debts against other persons.
Having qualified the debtor as malicious non-payer, Interlegal team secured the claim by means of the Debtor’s ship arrest at one of the Ukrainian sea port. Later the Ukrainian court accepted the claim for consideration.
Under such circumstances, the only way for the Debtor was debt recognition and fulfillment of monetary obligation in full. Finally, the Debtor joined negotiations resulting in amicable agreement and paid the whole indebtedness jointly with interests for using borrowed funds.
Interlegal once more facilitated restoration of justice and defense of its clients’ interests against unfair competitors.
