Interlegal facilitated damage reimbursement in favor of shipowner, due to vessel collision
This spring, two vessels collided in Constanta Sea Port, Romania. In the process of mooring, due to non-compliance with requirements for maneuvering and safe speed, one vessel collided with the other being moored at that time, causing significant damage to the hull, including significant rupture of the side plating.
Since the parties were unable to agree on amicable settlement of the conflict, the suffered party applied to Interlegal for reimbursement of expenses on necessary repair works and other incurred losses.
Due to prompt and grounded claim from Interlegal lawyers, the guilty party contacted our Client. In the course of intensive negotiations with the guilty vessel owner and its insurance company, Interlegal lawyers facilitated fair reimbursement amount for the Client, without applying to appropriate courts. Due to active assistance of our experts, the Client received reimbursement to the full extent and in due time.
Interlegal lawyers Ganna Liakhova and Mykola Kozachenko represented the Client’s interests in dispute settlement.
