Interlegal Ukrainian and Romanian offices jointly arrested the vessel as ship repair debt security in behalf of one of the largest Ukrainian ship repair yards. Shipowner’s debt against the shipyard exceeded 350,000 USD with payment delays.
Since independent negotiations between the parties became unsuccessful, Interlegal lawyers joint the process.
Lawyers analyzed promptly the Client’s documents, drafted the legal opinion and filed an application on further claim security by means of ship arrest on the grounds of maritime claim. We remind that Interlegal succeeds in ship arrest in the whole Black Sea Region.
With regards to the lawyers’ complete and justified arguments and evidence, the court agreed with Interlegal arguments and recognized maritime claim resulting in ship arrest.
Due to ship arrest, shipowner paid out the ship repair contract debt in favour of shipbuilders within several days.
Interlegal senior lawyer Alexey Remeslo, lawyer Vitalii Tolstik and Romanian partner Virgil Nita led the case.
