Interlegal lawyers defended interests of the foreign shipping company in judicial proceedings against the State Ecological Inspection of North-Western Black Sea Region on bringing the vessel master to administrative liability for breach of legislation on natural safety.
In the framework of case proceedings, the first instance court rejected claim satisfaction. But the court of appeal, while reconsidering the judicial award, agreed with the lawyers’ arguments in full.
Therefore, Interlegal proved again the vessel master’s guiltlessness in contamination of the territorial sea by means of ballast waters. Previously, in October 2018 Interlegal had cancelled unlawful order of the Ecological Inspection.
Interlegal associate attorney Mikhail Selivanov and junior lawyer Taras Dragan led the case.
