The Client, transnational oil and gas company, filed a request to Interlegal upon export, customs clearance and storage of petroleum products according to various trade schemes.
Interlegal lawyers performed a complex analysis of the Ukrainian legislation on the Client’s rights, obligations and liabilities, the need in obtaining additional permits/licenses and sanctions imposed due to breach of any terms prescribed by the regulatory act. Under the results of law analysis, the Client obtained a comprehensive legal opinion focused on law application in practice for each certain trade scheme.
Specification of drafting the legal opinion meant that, depending on trade scheme option, the Client’s status differed. The Client also obtained recommendations regarding its further activity due to numerous amendments to the regulatory act on trade and storage of petroleum products, which shall enter into force in 2019 on a step-by-step basis.
Interlegal associate attorney Mikhail Selivanov and lawyer Igor Derus, under the general supervision of senior associate Karyna Gorovaya, led the case.
