A foreign company, acting as the Ukrainian grain purchaser on FOB terms, applied to Interlegal in view of the Seller’s claims upon payment for cargo storage at the Ukrainian port. Additional cargo costs were caused by the vessel delay due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Lawyers of Interlegal settled the conflict as soon as possible, having reduced the claim cost more than fourfold, so the Parties could maintain trust relationship and avoid further delays on the loading/execution for the vessel’s further sailing to the port of discharge.
As shown once more by our successful practice, amicable settlement of dispute shall be the highest priority of lawyers engaged in foreign economic relationship.
Alexey Remeslo, the senior lawyer, and Ilona Biliulk, the lawyer, worked on the case.
