The Client – port operator – applied to Interlegal for due diligence of one of state-owned stevedores. Such due diligence should result in making either positive or negative decision regarding infrastructure development of state-owned terminal at the Client’s expense.
While performing the set task, there was a need in obtaining a set of documents from state-owned stevedore.
Interlegal lawyers filed a request, held negotiations, however the requested documents were not provided within the term provided by law, followed by rejection to provide information.
Therefore, court proceedings were initiated.
With regards to the lawyers’ complete and justified arguments and provided evidence, the court supported Interlegal arguments, recognized state-owned stevedore’s omissions as unlawful and ordered to provide the requested documents.
In the framework of complex legal services, the Client obtained an interim court decision aimed to achieve its further goals in full.
Interlegal associate attorney Dmitri Ochkolias and lawyer Nikita Kocherba led the case.
