In fact, no one will give an obvious answer to the above question; however, the golden rule Strongest are Lucky has not been canceled.

Interlegal client – a surveyor engaged in vessel inspection – filed a request. Case specification was that the Client was nominated by the P&I club, the survey actually remained unpaid, the shipowner adhered to dull defense throughout the whole year, legal relations between the parties were governed by Estonian law, while the surveyor’s claim for rendered services was not deemed as maritime claim in accordance with the 1952 International Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to the Arrest of Sea-Going Ships.

So what is the futility? Perhaps this question is rhetorical. However, Interlegal law team provided legal support upon the above case and proposed for pretrial dispute settlement.
What is the result? On the second day, the surveyor received its funds in full.

Interlegal senior associate Andrey Perepelitsa, associate attorney Ellina Romanova and lawyer Taras Dragan led the case.
