Interlegal prepared a legal opinion on compensation payment in Georgia due to seaman’s injury on board the vessel

A famous English law firm, representing the P&I club, applied to Interlegal for a legal opinion upon some issues related to compensation payment in Georgia due to seaman’s injury on board the vessel.

Since the seaman actually became incapable due to the injury, the Client was interested in the opportunity of receiving compensation by the person stated in the Employment Agreement as «next of kin», but not being either relative or registered spouse of the injured, and possible related risks.

Having examined the situation, lawyers of Interlegal analyzed the Georgian legislation in respect of issues of the Client’ concern. The analysis resulted in a complex legal opinion.
