On request of transnational trader the lawyers of Interlegal performed a comprehensive analysis of legislation related to the transport infrastructure on the Dnieper River. In the context of rapid growth of grain export, the transport potential of Dnieper became a point of interest for investors as an alternative to rail carriage.
Statutory regulation of the river fleet and port facilities operations remains rather complicated. A huge number of questions arise during the practical approach to the ownership of land, construction of coastal terminals and river hydraulic structures, cargo handling and fleet operation in cabotage transportation on the inland waterways.
In the nearest future the experts of Interlegal will make a publication on this subject.
