Lawyers of Interlegal performed transport legislation analyzis and conducted a due diligence of Odessa region terminals for the EBRD

The lawyers of Interlegal, upon the assignment of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), together with the company Maritime & Transport Business Solutions (MTBS) conducted a profound analysis of the possible influence on the investment climate in Ukraine after changes had been made in Ukrainian transport legislation.

 

In the process of work, key changes in customs legislation as for export /import of container cargos were analyzed which revealed difficulties in custom clearance of goods. In addition, specialists of Interlegal analyzed prospective changes in transport legislation connected with signed the Ukraine- EU Association Agreement.

 

The final stage of the assignment was to analyze statistics of a containers turnover in terminals of Odessa region for the last 10 years. The result of this analysis became a prognosis of Ukrainian merchant shipping development for future years.
