Settlement of dispute under the agreement on international cargo transportation by road

Interlegal completed successfully negotiations aimed at pretrial settlement of the dispute between the foreign (Contractor) and national (Subcontractor) freight forwarding companies due to cargo damage under transportation. Negotiations resulted in signing the appropriate agreement, under which the Parties recognized some essential circumstances (including the fact of cargo damage under transportation) and prolonged the one-year limitation period stipulated by the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road.
During settlement of the dispute, Interlegal lawyers applied such approach which facilitated negotiations between the parties, conditions for constructive dialogue, mutually acceptable position upon all the essential terms, and additional guarantees in the form of prolonged limitation period for defense of violated rights in case of failure to settle the dispute in amicable way.
