Ship arrest preserved: the Debtor paid due amount

On March 24, 2020, we wrote that Interlegal lawyers arrested the vessel flying under foreign flag, in Kherson Sea Port water area, followed by case proceedings until actual satisfaction of the Client’s claims.
For 5 months, the Debtor tried to contest lawfulness of ship arrest, both at first instance and appellate courts, however gained no success. Due to principal position of Interlegal lawyers, ship arrest remained in force.
Having understood lack of success in court proceedings, the Debtor joined negotiations with the Client, resulting in full satisfaction of the Client’s claims. Following dispute settlement, the Debtor’s vessel was released.
