Successful appeal in favor of Interlegal client

We noted before that Interlegal lawyers successfully defended rights of the large international forwarder under the dispute with Ukrainian carrier, based on cargo damage during transportation by road.
Under the results of case consideration, the court satisfied the Client’s claims in full and ordered on damage recovery from the carrier to the full extent.
However, the counteragent tried to appeal against the court decision. In turn, Interlegal law team understood that such step was aimed at delay and commenced procedure upon enforcement of the first instance court decision.
With regards to the above, the lawyers not only completely repelled all the arguments serving as grounds for the carrier’s appeal but also drew the court’s attention to inadmissibility of delaying the appellate proceedings.
Such efforts, despite the severe condition of the state itself and its judicial system, successfully resulted in making the decision of the appellate court as soon as possible.
Interlegal lawyers also took full advantage of the instrument of court fee recovery from the losing party, having additionally claimed legal assistance cost recovery in the appellate instance, so the Client could minimize the overall costs of the above proceedings.
