In view of hostilities in Ukraine, one of the leading distributors in the Ukrainian agrarian market decided to launch its new activity: grain trading.
Over 80% of the global trade of grain & oilseeds are based on the contracts governed by English Law and by GAFTA & FOSFA terms, while charter parties (international carriage contracts) governed by English law have even more percentage.
Therefore, the company applied to Interlegal for holding training course Contract Performance under English Law for its personnel.
Training course program was based individually on Client’s work specifications and touched the following issues:
– basic principles of English contract law;
– entry into agreements, amendments and rules for correspondence under English law;
– GAFTA contract proformas & terms;
– FOSFA contract proformas & terms;
– contract performance under GAFTA & FOSFA terms, rights and obligations of the parties; specifications and practical recommendations;
– correlation between contract and charter party, relations with shipowners, laycan calculation;
– dispute settlement under English law (contracts and charter parties).
