UPD: Delaware Yacht Registration

On February 22, 2023, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control issued the Memorandum on termination to publish documents certifying validity of yacht registration in Delaware.
This Memorandum highlights also that the yacht can be registered under the flag of Delaware, provided only if she is operated mainly in Delaware waters. Such requirement is not a novelty: it has been fixed by the Register long ago before issuing the Memorandum – see our publication for details.
Registration agents note that the registration procedure has been changed too.
Now the Register will contact directly yacht owners applying for registration, changing ownership or extending yacht registration term in Delaware. They will request for confirmation of the yacht operation in Delaware (or at least in the US) waters, otherwise the Register will reject any registration procedures.
