A client, large foreign trader, filed a request to Interlegal upon lawful actions committed by tax and customs authorities, namely suspending vessel customs clearance with grain on board.
Having received information and analyzed the documents, Interlegal attorneys-at-law Vitalii Tolstik and Alexey Remeslo concluded that investigation of tax authorities under criminal proceedings in fact broke large product batch supply.
Interlegal lawyers, jointly with ship agent and sea port operator, in the Client’s interests, developed legal position and tactics aimed at combatting export prevention by customs authorities and drafted several complaints which forced customs authorities to complete vessel customs formalities as soon as possible.
As the result, the Client performed the goods supply contract and mitigated losses caused by vessel idle stay.
