Interlegal on the 10-th International Conference «Export of steel and raw materials from Russia and Ukraine»

On April 20-21 Interlegal participated  as an exhibitor and a speaker in the 10-th International Conference "Export of Steel and Raw Materials from Russia and Ukraine"  taken place in InterContinental hotel, Kiev. Partner Nikolay Melnykov and associated partner Natalia Myroshnychenko represented Interlegal on the conference.

This year event  was attended by over 100 delegates who for over two days had been discussing  problems and solutions to various  aspects of export of metallurgical raw materials and products. On the first day of the conference Natalia Myroshnychenko, the associated partner of Interlegal, made a presentation "Export of Steel: 5 Tips How to Avoid Losses in Sea Transportation". The report covered the problematic points  exporters face at various stages of the sea leg of transportation of metal products. Specifically it was  about the role and status of the forwarder`s certificate  of  receipt (FCR), significance of the bill of lading and the volume of claims of its  holder in case of total loss of the cargo. The speaker also addressed  issues of Master’s remarks in the bill of lading  on quality of the goods loaded; problematic situations related to letters of guarantee   issuance during loading and unloading.

Based on extensive experience and real cases of Interlegal related to the export of steel products, Natalia Myroshnychenko proposed different options  to solve emerging problems aimed to avoid significant losses for all parties.
