Nikolay Melnykov, Partner of Interlegal, and Mehmet Dogu, head of Interlegal practice in Turkey, participated in the First Meeting of the Black Sea Shipowners Club held at the Hayat Regency Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey, on July 30, 2015. Among lots of issues being discussed by Black Sea Shipowners, the issue of vessels calls at the occupied Crimean ports, problems of demurrage and problems related to unfair consignees were of particular interest and vivid discussions. The foundation of the Black Sea Shipowners Club shows strong need in creating a regular discussion platform for shipowners which will help them to solve problems together in the Black Sea region.
Interlegal team congratulates the Black Sea Shipowners Club with the first meeting and speaks out in favor of such interactive platform for Black Sea Shipowners.
