In the course of traditional meetings with marine industry representatives, on June 18, 2015, Interlegal invited representatives of marine agency companies for discussion of several vital issues.
Representatives of such companies as Polaris, Trans-Ocean Express, Omega Trans, CMT LTD, Inflot, Odemara, Altair, Portinvest, Wilhelmsen, Genaker, ATIS, Nortrop, Dealex, Metinvest Shipping LLC, Маерск, Arkas Ukraine Ltd., BINSA, OMA INTERBROKER were present at the meeting.
A cozy “Odessa” Conference Hall in Interlegal office  inspired participants to active and informal discussion.
Hot, vital issues interesting to marine agents caused a vivid discussion, namely the issues of ballast water control and the corresponding BIMCO Alert regarding Ukraine dd. 04.06.2015, problems caused by the Order of the Ministry of Finances of Ukraine No.308 dd. 10.03.2015 (enters into force on 26.06.2015) on performance of customs formalities at sea and river transport, and many others.
A special guest of the meeting was Vadim Tereshchk who became the First Deputy of the Acting Head of the State Ecological Inspection of the North-Western Black Sea a few days ago.
Vadim responded operatively to the offer of Interlegal to participate in this meeting and started an open talk with representatives of ship owners. His quite emotional message addressed to the audience was very simple: under his guidance the State Ecological Inspection not only does not intend to force its employees to take samples of segregated ballast without any information about certain cases of pollution but also prohibits it directly, as his first order notified the whole Inspection personnel. Vadim asked to inform him personally about all the cases of unlawful requirements of Inspection representatives in order to react fast.
Representatives of marine agency companies discussed also the opportunities of cooperation, joint defense of their rights and lobbying general interests through the Association of Marine Agents of Ukraine, by the way, one of the oldest associations in Ukraine.
