Practical seminar “Liquid bulk cargo sea transportations: commercial contracts and transportation economy”

 

On the 12^th of December 2014 at the conference hall of Gagarinn Hotel top experts of  Interlegal held the first practical seminar in Ukraine called “Liquid bulk cargo sea transportations: commercial contracts and transportation economy” for specialists of bulk, oil and fat terminals, logisticians of bulk, oil and fat trading companies, trade managers and freight experts. The seminar included lectures and workshops related to liquid bulk cargo sea transportation: liquid bulk cargo sales contracts - terms of supply, transfer of risks and standard contract proformas (FOSFA); sea transportation and handling, value of bill of lading, contract and charter party; tankers and charter parties, special clauses of tanker charter parties; freight, laytime and demurrage, peculiarities of settlement under tanker charter parties, settlement of claims and legal support of disputes. Head experts of Interlegal made  their presentations on the issues related to bulk and oil & fat cargo transportation, legal support of arbitration proceedings in FOSFA, LMAA and settlement of claims under tanker charter parties.

Despite the large amount of conferences held for experts of oil and fat industry in Ukraine, this workshop was the first one covering such a wide range of related topics. Organizers’ task was to provide participants with the information about all legs of transportation chain and regulation of relationship between its members during transportation of bulk liquid cargo by sea.

After the seminar all members continued their professional communication in unofficial atmosphere during the cocktail party in the cozy restaurant of Gagarinn Hotel.
