Transport and cargo. Practice of transportation by water.

а Interlegal held a Round Table – Practicum on the 7^th of February 2013 in Izmail for transporters from the Danube Region.

 

Partner of Round Table was the company Danube Multi Service (Izmail).

 

Interlegal was presented by Artem Skorobogatov, Nataliya Myroshnychenko, Ivan Movlyak, Alexey Remeslo and Andrey Perepelitsa.

 

The Round Table gathered nearly 35 participants – the representatives of transport sector of the Danube Region: operators, ship owners, forwarders, agents, port workers, shipping line employees and representatives of mass media.

 

At the Round Table there was discussion of real cases based on the company’s practice and related to cargo transportation in the Danube region, namely:

- Ice situation: force majeure or not?

- vessel idleness: documents and demurrage.

- Responsibility for handling. Short delivery and damage of cargo.

- Insurance of cargo and forwarder’s responsibility.

- Offshore companies.

- Risks. Securing obligations

 

The audience had a vivid interest in forwarding issues: transportation, cargo storage, insurance. The Round Table participants took an active part in discussion, asked questions, made examples from their practice.

 

As a result all the participants of the event expressed their interest in similar events; they invited Interlegal to visit them with new practical cases and promised to visit Maritime Days 2013 in Odessa.
