A seminar upon customs clearance of goods was held in Odessa

Interlegal and Port Clearance Customs and Brokerage Company held the first seminar in international trade “Export-Import-Customs. Lifehacks for Business”.

The Ukrainian agricultural traders, shipping and logistic company managers, freight forwarders, port operators and service company experts participated in the seminar supported by the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine.

Interlegal partner Natalya Myroshnychenko presented a review about sanction risks during the goods export from Ukraine, while Interlegal lawyers Vitalii Tolstik and Karyna Gorovaya told respectively about the exhaustive list of possible cargo inspections, reviews and previews and about sanctions imposed by the Ministry of Economic Development against international trade companies.

Alexander Gladilin, Director of Port Clearance Customs and Brokerage Company, touched simple methods of solving complex customs problems, on certain examples in the form of lifehacks for businessmen engaged in goods carriage abroad.

Viktor Berestenko, Deputy Director General of the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine, made certain examples on the association’s assistance in solving systematic problems in the process of cargo customs clearance in Ukraine in 2018. The Naumchevs, Roman and Victoria, Fair Logics logistic company experts, shared their practice in solving the tasks in case of essential discrepancies between customs regulations in Ukraine and other product import/export countries.

Eugeniy Belobrov, Director of the Center of Hazardous and Fumigated Cargos and Accidents, highlighted the risks related to import and further application of fumigants in Ukraine, as well as the role of customs offices in preventing such risks.

Interlegal partner Artem Skorobogatov moderated the seminar.
