Black Sea Shipping and Trade: seminar in Varna

The seminar Shipping and Trade: Legal Insights from the Black Sea Region, held in Varna on November 2, gathered over 60 delegates – managers of Bulgarian trade and logistic companies.
Interlegal jointly with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (Bulgarian department) organized the seminar, while Piraeus Bank became its exclusive sponsor.

At the seminar, Interlegal partner Arthur Nitsevych highlighted the most vital themes of Black Sea maritime business. Basic themes were ship arrest, general average, de-offshoring and claim settlement. Interlegal senior lawyer Andrey Perepelitsa presented the grain shipment trends: from Black Sea to Mediterranean and Middle East.

Interlegal foreign office representatives also participated in the seminar, such as Mladen Popov (Bulgaria), Virgil Nita (Romania) and Cansu Ogan (Turkey).

Lyubomir Punchev and Biser Haralampiev, Piraeus Bank Bulgaria, told about x-border payments and bank services for trade companies.

In the end, Interlegal senior lawyer Ekaterina Gadetskaya highlighted vital changes in LMAA, GAFTA, FOSFA Rules for maritime and commercial arbitration.
