Traditional meeting of Interlegal Whisky Club devoted to yachting was held on April 6, 2017.
Interlegal partner Nikolay Melnykov opened the meeting and held a welcome speech.
Senior lawyer Kirina Riashentseva, yachting practice manager, reviewed the news and interesting cases for 2016 – early 2017, in particular, highlighted the yacht sale and purchase deals, issues of selecting the flag of convenience, insurance, need in VAT payment under yacht purchase and many others.
This year Interlegal yachting partner Alexander Goron (Interparus) participated in the event and illustrated Interparus and Interlegal joint projects and services, namely: sailing cruises, yacht and catamaran sale, IYT sailing school, yacht management, charter business organization and many others.
A pleasant surprise for the guests was creation of the Odessa Racing Club announced by Interlegal senior lawyer Andrey Perepelitsa – one of the project masterminds and Interlegal team captain.
The proposed theme was called “Scottish Attorney Race”. Participants tasted special “yachting” releases of the Old Pulteney distillery called in honour of Sir William Pulteney, the Scottish attorney, land owner and politician.
