On February, 8, Interlegal expert Viktoria Krotova participated in the III annual Agrarian Conference “Exports Strategy: Trading & Logistics 2018” (organized by ProAgro Group).

Speakers anticipated the native product export to foreign markets and presented case studies from their own practice. One of the most outstanding reports (by Maria Kolesnik, ProAgro Group Deputy Director) highlighted the impact on export in the current year by the following factors: good condition of Black Sea Region winter crops, South America weather, demand on bioethanol, Chinese State Reserve funding policy and domestic manufacturer incentive policy.

Report about consolidating the Ukrainian traders’ efforts for the purpose of grain promotion to foreign markets (by Shakir Shamilev, Kusto Agro), awoke special interest. In particular, trading manager initiated the tighter traders’ consolidation aimed at joint defense of their rights.

Viktoria Krotova noted that the conference became a more useful platform to discuss industry trends. Unfortunately, most of agricultural product export problems touch cooperation of business and control authorities and result in deteriorating of international image of Ukraine and chaos in export contracts.

Delegates discussed also grain logistic problems, in particular, shortage of railway wagons, grain terminal development plans and peculiarities of the Ukrainian grain export to foreign markets.
