The Nautical Institute of Ukraine took part in Exhibition and Conference “Seafarers 'Education, Training and Crewing” in Odessa

On the 23rd – 24th of April the Second International Exhibition and Conference “Seafarers 'Education, Training and Crewing” was held in the complex of Odessa Marine Terminal. Both exhibition and conference were held in the framework of the forum. All events were aimed to improve seafarers’ training, crew hiring for ship owners. They also demonstrated latest achievements in seafarers’ training and education. Chief experts took part in the forum and presented interesting reports.

The Nautical Institute of Ukraine (department of the Nautical Institute of the United Kingdom) took part in this international forum. Expo stand of the Nautical Institute of Ukraine was presented by Professor Vladimir Torskiy, Honorary Secretary of the Nautical Institute of Ukraine, Arthur Nitsevych, President of the Nautical Institute of Ukraine, and Philip Wake, Chief Executive of the Nautical Institute(UK). In the fourth section of the conference “Seafarers’ Education and Certification” Philip Wake made a report “The Nautical Institute Dynamic Positioning Training Scheme” which aroused much interest among the audience.

For 14 years the Nautical Institute of Ukraine has become large and respected public organization that works in the interests of marine industry of Ukraine. Its multiplex activity includes organization of large amount of conferences and seminars, publication of books and manuals, participation in the events in strengthening relationships with marine organizations from various countries.
