On November 2, 2017, the II Conference “Grain Export from Ukraine”, organized by APK-Inform Agency supported by Interlegal, was held in Kiev and gathered nearly 200 participants.

Interlegal partner Arthur Nitsevych moderated the 3rd session “Current issues of grain maritime transportation – 2017” devoted to grain export from Ukraine by water transport. Within its framework, Interlegal senior lawyer Andrey Perepelitsa in his report “When someone is wrong in the commercial dispute, and the cargo at sea: how to save a product, money and relationships” shared practical recommendations upon dispute settlement in the process of commercial contract performance.

Ukraine started the new 2017/18 MY actively with exporters high demand on grain and high prices, mainly due to information provided by principal grain producers about weather negative impact on harvest and expected quality deterioration.

But in the process of harvesting, grain market situation in the new season changed slightly. Key issues included: 2017 harvest grain sale prospects under high competition with Russia and its impact on global prices and oversupply at the forage grain market.

The conference served as platform for open discussion between direct market players, representatives of government, control bodies and industrial association, devoted to market players’ efforts aimed to achieve high results and related obstacles.

Similar Round Table in Odesa was held jointly by APK-Inform Agency and Interlegal in 2012 and 2013 and awoke large interest among traders and logistic companies.
