Business Protection award in shipping industry for Interlegal

Annual awarding ceremony of Ukrainian National Maritime Rating 2020 was held in Odessa for the 14^th time by the publishing center Ports of Ukraine. On May 21, guests of the solemn ceremony were representatives of Ukrainian maritime elite who secure stable functioning of water transport industry and Ukrainian sea ports.

For the first time, apart from rating experts, ports.ua users and Ports of Ukraine readers elected the winner of Business protection nomination, who was Interlegal managing partner Arthur Nitsevych.

Such award is the result of fruitful work for 25 years, for the sake of business community of Ukrainian shipping industry.

It should be noted that awarding ceremony coincided with Interlegal 25^th anniversary. Due to each our victory, we are getting closer to our main goal: improve international business work in Ukraine.

Our main practices include Transport, Shipping and International Trade. Maritime law is our main specialization since 1995.

Interlegal case studies for 2020 include defense of interests in favor of cargo owners, consignees, shipowners; claims handling upon defense of interests in favor of freight forwarders, traders, ship repair yard; as well as ship arrest, vessel sale & purchase legal support and many others.

As for defense of our client’s interests, last year we noted increase in demand for claims handling both in Ukrainian and in foreign arbitration institutions, jointly with increase in demand for legal services in grain & maritime industries.

In 2020, in the framework of Transport, Shipping, Trade Web Course (webinars for maritime and agricultural business experts), our lawyers shared the principal issues, such as English law, yachting, international grain trade etc.

Within legal service market development, our lawyers held two Interlegal Maritime Academy courses (training projects for students of Odessa Universities).

Also in 2020 our lawyers presented a new book Ship Arrest and Release for grain and maritime community.
