Yacht sale & purchase deals are always in the agenda of Interlegal yachting lawyers. One of the latest cases took place in EU, namely in France.

Interlegal regular client applied for sale of a sail catamaran 12 meter long at the cost of ca. 500 thousand EUR. The buyer was citizen of France who intended to operate catamaran at the French territory, i.e. to import yacht into France and to register her under French flag.

In the framework of project, Interlegal yachting lawyers conducted due diligence of draft Sale & Purchase Agreement made up by the Seller, consulted the parties upon settlement procedure, agreed on algorithm of the deal and assisted the Seller in issuing documents, including in the process of yacht deletion from the Jersey Register.

Project specification was engagement of two brokers, followed by entering into Brokerage Agreement, while special attention was drawn to communication between the parties. Upon completion of the deal, our client obtained a desirable result and commenced preparation to launching a new catamaran.

Interlegal junior lawyer Mariia Kalashnikova and senior associate Valeria Fetysenko led the project.
