The Client, large Romanian forwarder, applied to Interlegal upon drafting crew-manned vehicle lease agreement.

It should be noted that the parties to the agreement were the Romanian (lessor) and the Ukrainian (lessee) companies, while the subject thereof were various types of vehicles crew-manned by the Romanian residents – the lessor’s employees rendering services in Ukraine.

The task for Interlegal was to analyze prospects of such agreement, to anticipate risks with regards to customs, labour, civil and commercial legislation, to set a list of documents required by the Ukrainian law for performance of such agreement and to draft the agreement itself. The vital aspect of the agreement was the crew working/rest schedule to be drafted by the lessor in compliance with the Ukrainian law. Such schedule was based on Interlegal lawyers’ recommendations.

Having worked out the Client’s issues, Interlegal lawyers drafted crew-manned vehicle lease agreement, which prescribed all the requirements and nuances, with regards to flaws in the Ukrainian legislation.

Interlegal lawyer Irina Yakimovskaya, junior lawyer Nikita Kocherba, under the general supervision of associate attorney Ellina Romanova, led the case.
