On June 28, 2014, the Owners of M/V “TANAIS DREAM” requested for bunker supply for the Vessel on the roads of port Kavkaz (Russian Federation), which was further duly done by the Client.

Despite the provisions of the Contract and further arrangements on deferment of payment after the due date the Owners failed to commence payment for the supplied bunker.

The Client instructed INTERLEGAL to protect his rights and start the legal procedures against M/V “TANAIS DREAM”.

Following the legal actions of INTERLEGAL on 21 October, 2014, the noted Vessel was arrested in the port of Illyichevsk on the basis of the ruling of Commercial Court of Odessa region.

INTERLEGAL participated in negotiations between the Client and Owners in order to settle the dispute amicably.

Finally, the Parties reached the agreement and the Vessel was released on 23 October, 2014, upon the Client’s instructions to INTERLEGAL to commence relevant actions on release.

Sergey Kalitenko, the senior lawyer, and Sergey Sushko, the lawyer, worked upon this case.
