Interlegal lawyers, having represented its regular Client’s interests, supported the deal on tanker sale and purchase in the amount of 6 million USD.

Due diligence included the following: drafting a Memorandum of Agreement, entering into supplementary agreements, issuing all the documents required for closing the deal, and legal consulting the Client upon various questions arising at all the project stages.

For making payments, the parties involved an escrow agent; therefore, the payment procedure was agreed upon and executed, based on Escrow Service Agreement.

All parties to the process got ready to close the deal in late February; however, at the last moment, due to military actions in Ukraine, they agreed on engaging Interlegal Turkish office in the process, which facilitated the safety and effective closing of the deal.

Interlegal teamwork, based on cooperation between Ukrainian and Turkish offices, facilitated successful legal support of the sale and purchase deal, followed by signing all the necessary documents and finalizing the vessel purchase.

Interlegal lawyer Mykola Kozachenko and junior lawyer Diana Mykhailova, featuring Turkish colleagues Attila Dogu and Korhan Pars, managed by partner Alexey Remeslo, led the case.
