Ship arrest as operating mechanism for debt recovery

The Client – large foreign bunkering company applied to Interlegal for debt recovery from the Shipowner for bunker supply.

Interlegal lawyers, jointly with the Turkish office, filed a claim on debt recovery to the Turkish court under vessel location.

Joint efforts of Interlegal Ukrainian law firm and Turkish associated office facilitated arrest of the Debtor’s vessel. Due to such prompt actions, the Debtor had no options, but to pay indebtedness. 

Interlegal Turkish attorney-at-law Selin Kulturel Darendeli and Ukrainian lawyer Nikita Kocherba, managed by Ukrainian associate attorney Vitalii Tolstik, led the case.
