Interlegal was appealed to by a customer who provides ship repair services. After executing a regular contract, the Customer did not receive payment for repair of the vessel, which had already been put into operation.

Since the shipowner was a non-resident company, Interlegal specialists decided to get the debtor's property arrested. Based on filed legal inquiries, it was found out that the ship-debtor is located in the water area of ??one of the ports of Ukraine. The next stage was filing an application with the Economic Court for the use of preventive measures.

In considering the application for the use of preventive measures, the court concluded that this measure is necessary in the current situation and is subject to application.

At present, Interlegal experts initiated arbitration in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in accordance with the arbitration clause in the ship-repair contract.

Senior lawyer Alexey Remeslo and lawyer Vitalii Tolstik are running the case.
